The Lotus model is based on a close collaboration, where we (manager, employee and company health) are involved in the rehabilitation process. Our model is based on creating as individual rehabilitation plans as possible because it is important to capture the employee's problem in time. In step one; we make an investigation and assessment, if there eventually is an ongoing abuse and/or a developed dependence on alcohol, pills or drugs. The second step, which is based on the outcome of the investigation and the assessment, to create a proposal for a rehabilitation plan. Our strength is also to be a support to the manager with advices and support already at the early stages and throughout the rehabilitation process.
Advice and support to you as a manager in three easy steps
In the event of suspicion, you can feel free to contact us to calmly pick up the problems you experience with the employee. The purpose of the contact is that we together shall deal with these issues as simple as possible; this creates a trust To Whom It May Concern. In this phase, you will get all the information how we add up the initial programs. We do it in three steps where the first contact is the first step. The second step is an investigation and assessment, and the third step is that you as a manager receive a complete proposal of an individual rehabilitation plan.
To create an individual program, it is important to create a secure alliance with those who will participate. The individual rehabilitation program runs in three-month stages with evaluations every month. In our program also includes family programs and relapse prevention, which is naturally an important part in the rehabilitation and included in the regular program.
The fact that we work individually, creating conditions to motivate the employee ahead of his own process. We do this either individually or in small groups. We organize meetings with people with similar problems in small groups in order of the individual to feel and experience safety.
The Lotus model is based on a careful preparatory work with a comprehensive individual assessment and investigation of the patient's needs and capabilities and then matching the right treatment. This results in 20-30% safer treatment results (di Clemente et al 1992, CUS 1994). Lotus works according to the validated diagnostic tool ADDIS (Alkohol Drog Diagnos Instrument) combined with review of the patient's medical, social and psychiatric status.
